Artefact no. 1
(11.04.2025)

Justification:
For my first reading artefact I chose materials from our textbook and the Moodlinka platform. These include texts, exercises, grammar and vocabulary units we worked with during the semester. I picked them because they're a big part of my usual study routine (and let's be honest, I've spent a lot of time with them). Some topics, like politics or science, were new for me, but I found them interesting. These materials also helped me learn academic vocabulary and understand more formal texts. I think they're useful because they train me to read more carefully and focus on details.
Artefact no. 2
(13.04.2025)

Justification:
As my second reading artefact, I chose reading English subtitles while watching series. It might sound a bit unusual, but it's actually really useful for my English. I often watch shows in other languages, like Thai or Taiwanese, and because I don't speak those, I need to focus a lot on the English subtitles to follow the story. So reading becomes active- I have to read fast, understand quickly, and still enjoy the show. I also sometimes read books that don't have a Czech translation, so I have no choice but to read them in English. These things help me work with natural English, and I think they really help me with reading and vocabulary. Actually, thanks to reading subtitles and books, I fell in love with English.
